Dear Esteemed Friends & Colleagues,
It is with immense pleasure and in great enthusiasm that I welcome you to the second Annual Conference of the Association of Robotic and Innovative Surgeons (ARIS), hosted in the remarkable city of Hyderabad, India. This distinguished gathering marks a significant milestone in our shared journey to redefine the landscape of surgical excellence, embrace innovation, and leverage state-of-the-art robotic technology.

Founded in April 2022 in my hometown of Guwahati, Assam, ARIS was born from a clear mission: to elevate advanced technology and pioneering research, empowering our members to deliver unparalleled patient care. Our Founding and Executive Committee members have tirelessly worked to enhance the accessibility of robotic technology, striving to make it both accessible to surgeons and affordable for the public. This conference exemplifies our unwavering commitment to nurturing a collaborative and enriching environment for learning.

In our pursuit to democratize robotic surgery, ARIS has introduced the world’s first international course, "FARIS," which has received resounding accolades from surgeons worldwide. Our inaugural FARIS 22 Batch conferred esteemed fellowships upon 76 candidates, followed by 54 in the FARIS 23 Batch, with 62 candidates currently enrolled in the FARIS 24 Batch. Our organization boasts a robust regional presence and an international network spanning the USA, UK, Maldives, Singapore, the Middle East, and Bangladesh. Together, we continue to foster innovative ideas and embrace cutting-edge technologies, expanding our influence and serving as a vital resource for medical professionals dedicated to addressing societal needs.

Hyderabad, known as the City of Pearls, the City of Nizams, and Cyberabad, perfectly encapsulates the fusion of history, culture, and modernity—making it an ideal backdrop for our conference. A historic center of the pearl and diamond trade, Hyderabad symbolizes our pursuit of excellence and precision. As a global IT hub, its Cyberabad persona resonates with ARIS's mission to propel robotic surgery forward, further enhanced by the city's exceptional infrastructure and warm hospitality.

During this conference, you will have the chance to engage with world-class experts, thought leaders, and fellow practitioners. Our extensive program features a variety of sessions, live workshops, and panel discussions covering the latest advancements in robotic surgery and innovation in healthcare.

I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude to Dr. Jagdishwar Goud, chairman of the organizing committee. Dr. Goud is a trailblazer in the field of robotic surgery, serving as the national Head of the Robotic Surgery Department at the American Oncology Institute. Since 2000, he has led a multidisciplinary team dedicated to comprehensive cancer care in Hyderabad.

Esteemed colleagues, let us view this conference as more than just a venue for learning; let it be a catalyst for progress, innovation, and a celebration of our profession's enduring commitment. United by a common vision, we have the power to transform the field of surgery and, in doing so, positively impact countless lives.

As the President of this esteemed association, it is both a privilege and a profound responsibility to represent our dedicated members and advocate for the advancement of robotic and innovative surgery.

I am confident that Dr. Jagdishwar Goud and his exceptional team will leave no stone unturned to ensure an unforgettable experience for each of you.

Welcome to Hyderabad, welcome to the 2nd Annual Conference of the Association of Robotic & Innovative Surgeons (ARIS), and welcome to a future rich with limitless possibilities.

I look forward to welcoming you all to ARIS 2025.
